बुलंदशहर का इतिहास
बुलंदशहर का इतिहास महाभारत काल और पांडवों से जुड़ा हुआ है, यह क्षेत्र हस्तिनापुर और इंद्रप्रस्थ दोनों के लिए बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण था, महाभारत काल के बाद यह क्षेत्र कई राजाओ के हाथो में आया और गया।
यहाँ पर राजा परम ने एक किला बनवाया, और इसके बाद ये तोमर राजवंशो के अधीन आ गया, उन्होंने इस क्षेत्र का नाम अहिबरन रखा, ये शहर उस समय काफी ऊंचाई पर था इसलिए कालांतर में इसका नाम बुलन्द शहर पड़ गया, इसका ये नाम पर्शियन भाषा से बना हुआ है।
कई ऐतिहासिक श्रोतो के आधार से पता चला है की अहिवरण या अहिबरन एक सूर्यवंशी क्षत्रिय थे और वे अयोध्या के राजा महाराजा मान्धाता के २४वी पीढ़ी के थे
